Interior Painting Gold Coast

Interior painting can be a fun and interesting task. Some parts will be enjoyed more than others, for example planning the entire painting venture can be exciting when you’re looking through the colour swatches and imagining what the finished product will look like.
In reality, painting can be tricky. Manipulating the brush to get the desired effect, using it with precision and avoiding splashes are a few examples of the skills required.
So what are the tips for when you are cutting in around the edges?
Make sure your work space is sufficiently illuminated; shadows can make it more difficult to see when undertaking detailed painting.
Choose the correct brush! An angled brush is the easiest type to use for this type of job.
Make sure you are always in control of your brush. The easiest way to ensure this is by holding your brush as if it was a pen
Load your brush correctly. Ensure that you don’t get too much or too little paint on your brush. About a third of the length of the bristles should be dipped into your paint, then the excess dabbed off against your paint drum
Wipe away surplus paint first. Before you start cutting in, brush one stroke a few inches from the edge to get rid of excess paint and make it easier to paint an even, straight line
Now you can go ahead and do this with confidence in your next DIY painting project. However, if you’re not so sure that you can get the desired finish without getting in a bit of a mess, call Gold Coast Painters for a free quote!
