Procedure with Integra house painters - Gold Coast

Protect

For one week, your home is our home—and we treat it that way.

We’ll carefully cover all your furniture with plastic sheeting and secure everything with masking tape. Floors? Fully protected with drop sheets. And when the painting’s done, we’ll do a full walk-through to make sure everything’s just as spotless as we found it—only with freshly painted walls, of course!

No mess, no stress—just a job well done. 🧼🎨

Prepare

We gap all cracks, fill and patch all imperfections and give it a light sand. Any mould or water damage will also treated before painting. All blinds removed and labelled

Paint

We apply two coats on all the surfaces, ceilings, walls and woodwork (doors, frames, skirtings)

How Much Does a Full Repaint Cost? Let’s Break It Down.

To give you an accurate quote for a full house repaint, we’ll need to swing by for a quick look.

It’s not just about the size of your home—it’s all about the prep work.

Why does prep matter?

Well, for painters, the condition of your walls is everything. We’ll be checking for:

  • Dents and dings that need filling

  • Larger holes that need plastering

  • Mould stains that need treating

  • Unsealed surfaces like fresh gyprock

  • New skirting boards that need gapping

  • Cracks from wall movement

  • Colour changes (dark to light = more coats)
    ...and more.

Hourly vs Quoted Pricing
For bigger jobs, a full quote usually works out better than an hourly rate—more wall = more efficiency.

But if you’re going hourly, expect to pay around $75/hour for a skilled painter on the Gold Coast

(materials not included).

Interior Paint Sheens Explained

Ever wondered what "paint sheen" actually means? It’s all about the shine! Sheen refers to how glossy or reflective your paint finish will look once it’s dry—and it’s not just about looks, it plays a big role in how the paint performs too.

Paint sheens range from flat (no shine at all) to high-gloss (super shiny), with a few stops in between. Higher sheens are your go-to for spots that need extra durability, moisture resistance, and easy cleaning—think kitchens, bathrooms, and high-traffic areas.

Most homes use a mix of sheens throughout the interior:

Flat or matte for ceilings and living areas (hello, velvety smooth walls!)

Low-sheen or satin for walls—tough enough to wipe clean but still soft on the eyes
Semi-gloss or gloss for trims, doors, and wet areas where toughness is key

The right sheen in the right place makes all the difference. Want help picking the perfect combo? We’ve got your back!

Pride in Prep – Because Great Painting Starts Before the First Brushstroke

When it comes to interior painting, prep is everything. Indoors, every little detail counts—especially when you're up close and personal with your walls. Tiny dents, cracks, and dodgy patches? You’ll spot them. And trust us, they’re even more obvious when you’re, say... sitting on the loo without your phone for company. (Go on, try it.)

That’s why we take prep seriously—because it’s the foundation of a perfect paint job. Here’s what proper prep does:

  • Helps paint stick properly for long-lasting results

  • Prevents stains and blemishes from bleeding through

  • Boosts durability so your finish stands the test of time

Sure, prep work can be tedious and time-consuming—but it’s crucial. Depending on the project, it can take a whole day. But it’s worth every second. Especially here on the Gold Coast, where many homes were built in the '80s and often need a bit of extra care.

We’ll thoroughly inspect every surface, looking for:

  • Cracks, screw holes, and movement gaps

  • Nicotine or water stains

  • Dodgy edges around doors and corners

  • Runs or brush marks from previous paint jobs

Even if your walls look fine at first glance, we dig deeper to ensure they’re smooth, clean, and paint-ready. Because we don’t just paint—we take pride in delivering a flawless finish every time.
